SERVICES TODAY FOR MRS. MIRIAM TALBOT

Funeral services are being held today in the St. John LDS Chapel for Mrs. Miriam M. Talbot, 69, who died February 3, 1958 in the Oneida Hospital following a stroke. Bishop Melvin Yearsley is officiating.

Mrs. Talbot was born November 1, 1888 in St. John, the daughter of Hiram and Mary Ann Deschamps Monson. Reared and educated in St. John and at the University of Utah, she was married to Andie M. Talbot on November 9, 1910 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

A member of the LDS Church, she was well known as a pianist in Oneida County. She had served as president of the Oneida County Women’s Farm Bureau and the St. John Daughters of Idaho Pioneers.

Surviving are her husband; four sons and two daughters: Hiram and Lorin, Pocatello; Steven and Andie, Jr., Mrs. Muriel Dredge, St. John; Mrs. June Williams, Blackfoot; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.
