MINA TEGNELL

Mina A. Smith Tegnell, 62, Las Vegas, Nevada, and former Malad resident, died February 28, 1987 in Las Vegas.

She was born May 16, 1924 in Malad to Pat Burnett and Mina Newhouse Smith. She grew up and spent her early years in Malad.

She married Duane A. Jones in Brigham City, Utah. He died in 1949.

She married George Tegnell. He died in February, 1984.

She lived in Pocatello for several years and was employed with the Pole Line Drug Store.

In 1961 she moved to Las Vegas and worked as a salesperson and later managed the LaValise, Inc., a gift store in Las Vegas.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

She is survived by one son, Duane A. Jones, Garland, UT; one stepson, Fred Tegnell, Redding, CA; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Eva S. Burns, Bountiful, UT and Mrs. Elmer (Nadine) Peters, Tremonton, UT; two stepbrothers, Garth Thomas, Malad and Khalil Thomas, Las Vegas; and two stepsisters, Mrs. Glen (Helen) Williams, Malad, and Mrs. Catherine Bogk, Salt lake City.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Benson Horsley Funeral Home in Malad. Burial was in the St. John Cemetery.
