Merle R. Lusk, 20 March 1908

Merle R. Lusk, 88, of Aberdeen died peacefully October 7, 1996 at her residence. She was born March 20, 1908 in Malad, Idaho, the daughter of Taliesin Reynolds and Alice Evans Reynolds.

She married David J. Lusk July 11, 1932 in Logan, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, working in many organizations of the church.

She is survived by one daughter and two sons, Joanne (Jack) Holt of Salt lake City; Kenneth D. (LaRae) Lusk of Provo, UT; and Scott R. (Leslie) Lusk of Aberdeen. She is also survived by a brother, Rex Reynolds of Ogden, UT; a son-in-law Blair Whiting of Sandy, UT; 16 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David J. Lusk, one daughter, Marla Whiting, a daughter-in-law, Maxine Taylor Lusk, two sisters and one brother.

The funeral service will be held October 10, 1996 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-d-ay Saints, Aberdeen Third Ward Chapel with Bishop Scott Poulson conducting. Interment will be in the Aberdeen Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of the Southeastern District Health Dept. Hospice, friends and neighbors for their support.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis Mortuary, American Falls, ID.
