SERVICES HERE TUESDAY FOR MELVIN L. THOMPSON, AGE 67

Graveside services were conducted here Tuesday for Melvin L. Thompson, age 67, who died September 19, 1970 at Weberville, CA of natural causes. Mr. Thompson was a former Malad resident, working for the California Pacific Power Co. here.

He was born Feb. 7, 1903 at Tooele, UT to Lester N. and Elizabeth St. Joer Thompson. On February 23, 1923 he married Mary Jones in Salt Lake City. He was a member of the LDS Church and a past president of the Rotary Club.

He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Karl (Carolyn) Van Matre, Weberville; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edna Johnson, Provo.
