Maxine F. Rockwood

BONE – Maxine F. Rockwood, 70, of Bone, died April 4, 1992, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 23, 1922, at Sidney, Iowa, to Sanford and Cora Lockett Foster. She received her education in Sidney and moved to Idaho Falls in 1950. She married Max Rockwood at Soda Springs in 1969. She worked as a cook at Bon­neville High School for 10 years before retiring.

She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics and sewing.

Survivors include her husband of Bone; children, Nikki Burun of Bellevue, Kelly Rockwood of Hailey, and Douglas Burun of Lewiston; a stepson, David Rockwood of Rigby; two sisters, Fern Trulove of Lebanon, Ore., and Goldie Padgett of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren; and two great­grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Buck-Sullivan Funeral Home in Idaho Falls with the Rev. Richard Miller of St. John’s Episcopal Church officiating. The family will meet with friends for one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery.
