Maude Irene Evans Jones

Maude Irene Evans Jones, a lifelong resident of Malad, Idaho, passed away October 15, 1997 while residing at Katherine Court Adult Care Home in Everett, Washington.
She was born June 4, 1905 in Malad to parents, Eliza and David P. Evans. Maude was the first of seven children that included six girls and one boy. For several years after graduating from Malad High School she worked at R.V. Daniels Drug Store.
In 1925 she married her high school sweetheart, Evan G. Jones, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They had two children, Denece and Michael.
Maude spent many years working at home and rearing a family. She was known as an excellent cook and seamstress. Music was very important to her, and she insisted upon providing musical training for her children.
She served for many years on the Oneida County Committee for the Infantile Paralysis Foundation, where she helped raise funds for the organization. A devoted member of the LDS Church, Maude spent countless hours teaching church classes. She particularly enjoyed working with high school age youngsters.
She taught classes in the MIA organization, and for many years taught all the teen-agers in Sunday school in the St. John ward.
Maude decided it was time to go back to work full time away from home. She worked for——————————————————————-
