Former Malad Woman Died at Pocatello

Pocatello – Mrs. Mary Owens McDougall, 83, 441 S. Garfield Ave., widow of the late Idaho Attorney General, Dan McDougall, and mother of two prominent sons, died in a Pocatello hospital Friday morning of a short illness. (no date)

She was the mother of Fifth District Judge, Isaac McDougall, Dr. D.C. McDougall, both of Pocatello, and the late Harry O. McDougall, World War I flier for whom Pocatello Municipal Airport was named. The family has been prominent in Malad Valley and Pocatello.

Mrs. McDougal was born Sept. 21, 1863, in Perry, Ill., a daughter of Rovert and Mary Owens. She came west and was married to Daniel C. McDougall in 1891 in Ogden, Utah. They lived first in Malad valley, then in Pocatello. Mr. McDougall, active in Idaho politics, died Jan. 21, 1927 in Pocatello.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian church.

Surviving are the two sons, 10 grandchildren and four nephews and nieces.
