FUNERAL SATURDAY FOR MRS. TUBBS

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Katherine Johnson Tubbs, 71, who died at her home in Malad on January 12, 1954 following a lingering illness, will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Malad Second ward chapel. Bishop Golden Willie will be in charge.

Friends may call at the home of Archie Neal, 445 W. Bannock, Friday evening and Saturday until time of the services. Interment will be in the Malad City Cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tubbs was born at Deweyville, UT, May 28, 1882, a daughter of George Johnson and Margaret Sorenson Johnson. She was reared and educated at Deweyville. She was married to William Albert Tubbs in January, 1904 at Brigham City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. An active member of the LDS Church, Mrs. Tubbs was a member of the Relief Society and served most of her active adult life as a block teacher. She was also president of the Holbrook Ward Primary for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Malad; five sons and five daughters: Mrs. Archie (Letha) Neal, Malad; Mrs. Cleve (Iretia) Moon, Pocatello; Mrs. Howard (Golda) Misenhimer, Rockland, ID; Mrs. O.W. (Ordella) Byington, Blackfoot; Verl A. Tubbs, Blackfoot; Earl J. Tubbs, Malad; Dean W. Tubbs, Ola, ID; Orvil Tubbs, Holbrook; Mrs. Dell (Hazel) Hansen, Thornton, ID; Junior Tubbs, Springfield, ID; 42 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Mrs. Eugene Bowen, Logan; Mrs. Carrie Korth, Garland; Oliver Johnson, Deweyville, UT; William Johnson, Deweyville.
