MARY ANN THOMAS DIED IN CALIFORNIA
Mrs. Mary Ann Chivers Thomas, 76, an Idaho resident for many ears, died January 22 of a heart ailment in San Francisco, CA, where she has been residing. Mrs. Thomas had been ill for seven weeks.
She was born April 12, 1878 at Malad, a daughter of James and Mary Ann Richards Chivers. Reared and educated at Malad, she was a member of the LDS Church and active in Relief Society work. She was also a member of the Oneida County War Mothers. She was married to John O. Thomas in 1897 at Malad. Mr. Thomas died 21 years ago.
Surviving are eight sons: Dan C., Salt lake City; John Cleon, Moscow, ID; William Dale, San Francisco; Lynn, Alameda, CA; Paul C., Twin Falls, ID; Glenn C., Oakland, CA; Marion C., Hayward, CA; Fay C., Oakland, CA; 13 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: James R. Chivers, Malad; Hyrum Chivers, Boise, ID; Mrs. Leah Evans, Malad; Mrs. Eliza Evans, Malad.
