Funeral held Saturday for Martin David Pett

Martin David Christensen Pett, age 87, died Wednesday, Apr. 14, [1976] in a Provo Hospital of natural causes.

He was born July 18, 1888 in Copenhagen, Denmark a son of Christian and Nettie Bernadine Carlson Christensen. [James Pett; adoptive Father]

He married Mary Luella Bingham Dec. 10, 1918 in Malad; she died May 1924. He married Eliza Blanche Wilcox Sept. 18, 1942 in the Logan LDS Temple. She died Dec. 8, 1972.

Mr. Pett attended schools in Brigham City, and lived also in Holbrook and Malad. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served as Malad MIA Stake secretary for 20 years. He served many years in temple work.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter: R. James (Jim) Pett, Holbrook; and David M. Pett of Provo, Utah; Mrs. John (Mary) Barraclough, Boise; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral service for Mr. Pett was held Saturday, Apr. 17 at Malad First Ward with Bishop Myron Jones officiating.
