Martha Thomas Rigsby, 8 November 1917

Martha Thomas Rigsby, age 84, passed away in her sleep on April 20, 2002 at home.

She was born November 8, 1917 in Samaria, ID, the daughter of David Phillip Thomas and Anna Davis.

She married Elliott Powell Rigsby on January 4, 1941 I Brooklyn, NY.

She is survived by her husband, Elliot P. Rigsby, Sandy, UT; and her children, Sue Rigsby (Red) Bell, Holladay, UT; and Mary Rigsby Carling, Sandy, UT; Thomas Walker Rigsby, Las Vegas, NV. She is survived by ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and two sisters, Adele Harker, Salt Lake City, UT and Mary D. Nelson, Washington, MO; She was preceded in death by her son, David Elliott Rigsby, two grandsons and three brothers.

Martha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many positions of leadership and responsibility. She received great satisfaction in service to others and she was an avid genealogist, spending many years of tireless research of her ancestors, both for her family as well as many neighbors and friends who also sought her help.

Funeral services will be held April 27, 2002 at the Willow Canyon 4th Ward, Sandy, UT. Interment will take place at the Logan City Cemetery, Logan, UT.
