Marilyn Evelyn Jackson of Salinas, California, died at her daughter’s home in Salinas following a two-month bout with cancer. She was 63.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and was raised in Malad City. She was a resident of Salinas for 28 years. For 25 years she operated a rural newspaper route for The Californian.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Steve (Carol Lynn) Mackey of Salinas; her sister Mrs. DeVon (Geraldine) Andersen of Murtaugh, Idaho; two grandchildren; her former husband, Robert M. Jackson of Las Vegas; several aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Evelyn and Louis Deschamps and three nieces.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be at a later date. After cremation, placement of ashes will be at the St. John Cemetery in St. John.
