MARILYN ANN JONES WARD

Marilyn, 68, beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away April 22, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born March 11, 1937, in Henderson Creek, Idaho to Joseph Clifford and Thelma Monson Jones. She was the second of four children.

She married George Parry Ward on May 25, 1955 in the Logan LDS temple.

She was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in the MIA/Young Women, Sunday School, Relief Society, Primary, Visiting Teaching, and as damp director and temple officiator.

She was the loving mother to five children, 24 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her five children: Gary Ward of Salt Lake City, Steve (Cindy) Ward of St. John, Idaho, Julie (Gordon) Heaton of Ivins, Utah, Teresa (Brad) Ellis of Logan, Utah, Michelle (Brent) Richardson of Inkom, Idaho, and their families.

Also surviving are her three sisters: Bar Dee (Wayne) Brown, Joyce (Brent) Price, Lugene (Clair) Weaver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father.

Marilyn loved quilting, sewing, cooking, handwork, spending time with family and friends, and her beloved sisters’ trip.

Marilyn will be missed by everyone who knew her, for she touched many lives.

Funeral Services were held Tuesday, April 26, at 11:00 a.m. in the Fifth Ward Chapel, 20 S. 100 W., Malad, Idaho.
