Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Curlew LDS Ward Chapel, Stone, for Mrs. Maria Bradshaw Neal, 86, who died Thursday evening at a Pocatello Nursing Home.
Mrs. Neal was born May 3, 1889 at Alma, Wyoming, a daughter of Jesse and Sarah Jane Durbershire Bradshaw. She married William J. Neal, May 26, 1908 in Snowville, Utah. He died Aug. 2, 1956. Mrs. Neal was an active member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include a daughter and four sons, Mrs. Walter (Jiammia) Scott of Layton, Utah; Jesse W. Neal of Clearfield, Utah; Rulon Neal of American Falls and Levell Neal and George Neal, both of Stone; 22 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and two sisters: Mrs. Alvin (Hanna) Hamp of Pocatello and Mrs. Martha Bunderson of Ogden, Utah.
Bishop Donald L. Brown conducted the services. Family prayer was offered by Garry Neal; invocation: Alden Neal; benediction, Neal Scott; dedicatory prayer, William E. Neal. Prelude and postlude music was played by Wilma Neal; a vocal solo was presented by Sharon Showell; vocal duet, Ron and Shirley Shelly; vocal solo, LuDene Zundle. Speakers were Gordon Crowther, Bishop C. Funk and Ireta Neal who gave the obituary and paid a tribute.
Interment was at the Snowville Cemetery. Flowers were carried by Mrs. Neal’s granddaughters and the honorary bearers were Brent Scott, Gale Neal, Vard Neal, Jerry Neal, max Neal, Roy Neal and Clair Neal.
Casket bearers were Jesse W. Neal, George Neal, Rulon Neal, Walter Scott, Levell Neal and William E. Neal.
Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.
