POCATELLO — Funeral services for Mrs. Margery Paulsen, 64, Pocatello, who died from injuries received in a car accident Friday south of Fort Hall, will be Monday, 2 p.m., first Congregational Church. Friends will call Downard Funeral home until noon Monday, and at church two hours prior to services. Born Feb. 13, 1900 Malad, to David W. and Mary Ann Jardine[sic] Tovey. Married to Arthur L. Paulsen June 8, 1935, Pocatello. He died Aug. 28, 1963. School teacher; St. John, Montpellier, Downey. Moved to Pocatello in 1942 where she taught until 1961. Member, First Congregational church. Past matron, Ruth Chapter No. 3, Order of Eastern Star. Charter member, Does: member, Idaho and National education associations. Survivors; son, Arthur L., Pocatello; brothers, Morgan W. Tovey[sic], Malad; Lester M. Tovey, Blackfoot. Burial, Mountainview Cemetery.

SERVICES HELD FOR MARGERY TOVEY PAULSEN

Funeral services for Margery Paulsen, 64, were conducted Monday in Pocatello at the First Congregational Church with Reverend Harold W. Heckman officiating.

Mrs. Paulsen, a school teacher at the Fort Hall school, died Friday evening in the St. Anthony Hospital from injuries received in an auto accident.

She was born February 13, 1900, at Malad, a daughter of David W. and Mary Ann Jardine[sic] Tovey. She received her elementary and high school education at Malad and attended college at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon, and Idaho State University, Pocatello. She has been a teacher in St. John, Montpelier and Downey before going to Pocatello in 1932 to teach. She began teaching at the Fort Hall school in 1961.

She was married to the late Arthur L. Paulsen, June 8, 1935, at Pocatello. He died August 29, 1963.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church, a Past Matron of the Ruth Chapter 3, Order of Eastern Star; a charter member of the BPO of Does, Drove 153; the Union Pacific Old Timers Club, the Idaho Education Assn., the National Education Assn., Star of the East Club, Electa Kensington and the Past Matrons Club.

Survivors include one son, Arthur L. Paulsen, Pocatello; two brothers, Morgan W. Tovey, Malad, and Lester M. Tovey, Blackfoot, 22 nieces and nephews.

Ritualistic services were also conducted by Ruth Chapter 3. OES, under direction of Mrs. Frank L. Parker, Worthy Matron. Burial was in the Mountainview[sic] Cemetery under the direction of the Downard Funeral Home.
