Margaret White Steimle, 16 December 1911

Margaret White Steimle, born December 16, 1911, daughter of George Arthur and Ivy Fredricka Ericzon White, departed this mortal probation September 27, 1996 at the home of her son, Dennis.

Margaret was born in Pleasantview, ID. She was a graduate of Malad High School. She worked in Ogden where she met and married Maxwell Stephens Steimle in 1940. In 1945 Margaret returned to Pleasantview with her four young children, caring for her invalid mother until her passing in 1949. She then moved her family to Malad City where she was employed as a switchboard operator. In 1963 her job was transferred to Salt Lake City. With 24 years of service, she retired in 1976.

Margaret loved flowers and gardening. Other avocations include crocheting, sewing, quilting and cooking. Active member of the LDS Church, she fulfilled her many callings from teaching to missionary activities with dedication and joy.

She is survived by four children: Richard and Sharon Steimle, Elaine Gartin; Dennis and Georgia Archibald; Dennis and Laurie Steimle; 15 grandchildren, Charlotte, Kristina, Brenda, Nathan, Tamara, Linda, Ronda, Randell, Eric, Lisa, Paul, Denise, Amy, Matthew and Angela; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Ivy Conae, Yuma, AZ; Martha Cook, Montpelier, ID.

Funeral services were held September 26, 1996 in the West Jordan 28th Ward Chapel with Bishop Dennis Archibald officiating.
