Blanche B. Stephens died Jan. 8 in Downey

Mrs. Blanche Burton Stephens, age 61, died Thursday, Jan. 8, at her Downey home of an apparent heart attack.

She was born Aug. 8, 1914 in Downey, a daughter of William J. and Mary Simpson Burton.

She was married to Harry Lee Stephens July 2, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Mr. Stephens died May 13, 1959.

Mrs. Stephens was a graduate of Downey High School; and a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include one son and two daughters: Harry L. Stephens, Pocatello; Mrs. Harvey (Marie) Galloway, Downey; Mrs. Blaine (Lila) Larkin, Tremonton, Utah; six grandchildren; four brothers and sisters: Alvin Burton, Rupert; Douglas Burton, Ogden, Ut.; Elward Burton, Donald Burton, Mrs. Sarah Moon, and Mrs. Pearl Bybee, all Downey; Mrs. Marva Sorensen, Genesee; Mrs. Ralph (Marion), Draper, Malad; and Mrs. Elizabeth Hooker, Montpelier.

Funeral services were Monday in the Downey Second L.D.S. Ward Chapel with Bishop Kenneth Williams officiating.

Burial was in the Downey City Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were by the Benson Funeral Home.
