MALAD — Margaret Camp Peterson, 92, Malad, died Monday [May 23, 1983] in the Oneida County Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 27, 1890, in Pleasantview to William Peter and Ann Morse Camp. She was reared and educated in Pleasantview.

She married Abraham Peterson Sept. 15, 1910, in the Salt lake City LDS Temple. They were later divorced. They lived in Ogden where Mr. Peterson worked on the railroad for nine years. Then the family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where they lived for six years. In 1925, the family moved back to Malad, where they have since lived. Mrs. Peterson worked for Hammon[sic] and Whiting Co. as a cook and waitress to support her family.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary and the Relief Society.

She is survived by three sons, Clifford Peterson, Wrightwood, Calif.[California]; Stanley Peterson, Concord, Calif.[California]; and Marvin Peterson, Salt Lake City, Utah; four daughters, Mrs. Mabel Doe, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Leo (Olive) Bowen, Orem, Utah; Mrs. Ed (Emma jean) Cook, Cleveland, Ohio; and Mrs. Erma Thomas, Malad; 28 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Deseret Moon, Malad. She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, and 12 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held noon Saturday in the Malad LDS Fourth Ward chapel, with Bishop Clarence Kent officiating.

Burial was in the Pleasantview Cemetery.
