MRS. JOHN E. THOMAS DIED THIS MORNING

Mrs. John E. Thomas, 44, died at her home October 19, 1939 after an illness of two years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at the stake tabernacle.

Mrs. Mahala Bybee Thomas was born on May 24, 1895 at Lewiston, Utah, the daughter of Alfred A. and Marla Price Bybee. She married John E. Thomas of Malad on September 8, 1919, and they made their home in Malad Valley, farming near the Malad Downey divide.

Mrs. Thomas was always an active worker in the LDS Church, working in the Sunday School and Primary and was first councilor in the Relief Society of the Reynolds Branch.

Surviving are her husband, John E. Thomas and three daughters; Blance B., Ruth B. and Gwen B., all of Malad and six sisters as follows: Mrs. Jane B. Larson and Mrs. Melissa Smith of Lewiston, UT; Mrs. Maude B. Ransom, Trenton, UT; Mrs. Marla Browning of Downey; Mrs. Sarah Peterson of Pocatello; and Miss Ruth Bybee who has made her home here with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas.
