Mae Anderson – 15 Jul 1910

Aberdeen – Mae Anderson, 79, died Sunday, September 3 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City as the result of heart disease.

She was born July 15, 1910 at Malad to John and Agnes McDonald Roberts. She was reared and educated in Malad.

On March 15, 1930 she married Virgil Odel Anderson, and their marriage was later solemnized October 16, 1932 in the Logan LDS Temple.

In 1930, the couple moved to Aberdeen to make their home.

Mrs. Anderson was a Relief Society teacher and Sunday School teacher. She worked in the MIA as a teacher and activity counselor. She was also secretary of the Sunday School.

Some of her hobbies included stuffed toys, quilting and painted dishtowels.

She is survived by three sons, Wendell Anderson of Bliss, Morgan and Norman Anderson, both of Aberdeen; three daughters, Mrs. Gary (Lola) Wells, Pocatello, Mrs. Dwayne (Lona) Westfall, Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Mrs. Jim (Gayle) Odel, Soda Springs; 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, her parents, two brothers, one sister and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Thursday at the Aberdeen LDS Church. Burial was in the Aberdeen Cemetery.
