Mabel May Tufts passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Kaysville. She was born on August 24, 1919 in Malad, Idaho to Robert Marion and Grace Davis May. She was the second of nine children. She married Karl Edward Tufts January 27, 1947 and together they raised six children.
Mabel was a hard worker and an active member of the LDS church, in which she held many positions during her life. She loved handiwork, and donated many altar-cloths to LDS temples throughout the world.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joe, Ira, Tom; two sisters, Ruth, Shirley and her son, Duke. She is survived by her five children, LD Tarbet, Morris (Ardith) Tufts, Sharen Oldham, KIaren Palsgraaf, Lois (Barry) grant and daughter-in-law Janet Tufts. She had 24 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday May 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the mortuary with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will immediately follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1850 E. 10600 S.).
