Lyman Jeffrey Ipsen

IPSEN, LYMAN JEFFREY, January 27, 1961 – January 5, 2008

Lyman Jeffrey Ipsen, 46, of Pingree, passed away on Saturday, Janury 5, 2008 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident on December 20, 2007,

Jeff was born on January 27, 1961 in Malad, Idaho, to Parry and Velma Roderick Ipsen. He was raised and educated in Malad and graduated from Malad High School. He went on to attend Ricks College for a time.

On October 22, 1988 Jeff married Melanie Reed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They had three children, a son and two daughters.

Jeff was a member of the LDS church. He served a mission to the Catonia, Italy mission. He had served in various church callings and was currently serving as an instructor in the Elders Quorum.

Jeff was a computer specialist and had worked the last nine and a half years in Idaho Falls for Scientech. Prior to his employment with Scientech he worked for eight years with the Dept. of Energy and also worked several years for Valley Office Systems.

He enjoyed cooking, photography, golfing, reading and always liked to learn and further his knowledge. He also was a great handyman and liked to work on repair projects.

Jeff is survived by his wife Melanie of Pingree; a son, William (Shannon) Ipsen of Blackfoot; two daughters, Stephanie (Doug) Crowther of Malad, Idaho, and Jessica Ipsen of Pingree; his mother, Velma of Malad; two brothers, Mark (Cydney) Ipsen of Malad, and Bruce Ipsen of Nampa; six sisters, Mary Lynn (Richard) Spahr of Malad, Janice (Mike) Hughes of Big Piney, Wyoming, Brenda (Brent) Coombs of Caldwell, Idaho, and Kathryn (Glen) Collett of Sandy, Utah; one grandson, Anthony Ipsen, and 75 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Parry, an infant brother Parry Keith, and a sister Anita Garner.

Funeral services will be held January 10, 2008 at the Pingree LDS Church with Bishop Stacy Jackson of the Pingree 2nd Ward conducting. Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
