Services Thursday for Mrs. Moon

Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Merle Jones Moon, 68, who died Monday, June 5, 1967 at the Valley View Hospital in Tremonton of a heart ailment, will be held Thursday 1 p.m. at the Cherry Creek LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Cordell Williams officiating.

Mrs. Moon was born July 2, 1899 at Marysville, Idaho, the daughter of Simeon A. Jones and Lula Permelia Cordingley Jones. She received her education at Marysville school and lived in Utah and Samaria.

She married Ira R. Moon, Feb. 11, 1920 at Cherry Creek and later that same year the marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Following their marriage they made their home at Henderson Creek where they have since resided.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and had been a Primary president in the Henderson Creek and Cherry Creek wards, first counselor in the Relief Society for many years.
