LUDELL WALDRON

LuDell Waldron, 71, of Twin Falls passed away Sunday, February 6, 2005, at his home.

He was born August 5, 1933, to Thomas John and Hannah Griffiths Waldron in Samaria, Idaho. He attended grade school in a two-room school in Samaria, and graduated from Malad High School in 1951. After high school he went to work at the Army Supply Depot in Ogden, where he worked for two years.

He married Gwenfred Jean McAllister August 29, 1952, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

He volunteered to be drafted in the U.S. Army October 1, 1953, and spent two years in the army at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Upon release from the service he attended Utah State University. While there, a daughter, Karen, was born. Gwen become (sic) seriously ill and died February 20, 1959.

LuDell graduated from Utah State University in June, 1959, finishing first in his accounting class and received the Utah Association of CPA’s award for his achievement. He graduated cum laude and was admitted to the Phi Kappa Phi honor society.

Following graduation, he went to work for an accounting firm in Ogden, Utah. He married Rexine Gardner September 3, 1963, in the Salt Lake City Temple, and moved to Twin Falls in July, 1964, where LuDell worked for an accounting firm until 1972 when he purchased a practice in Buhl. He joined the Buhl rotary Club and has been been active in that club until recently, serving a term as President.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; one sister, Theda; two brothers, Thomas Glen and Terry; and one granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Rexine; three daughters and two sons, Karen Ann (Francisco), Larry Rex (Bethe), LaRene (Marke), Brent (Rebecca), Janet Jo (Ruel); 10 grandchildren, a brother, Thayne, Folsom, California; and a sister, Meva, St. George, Utah. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and has served on the High Council and as Bishop.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at the Caswell LDS Church building. Interment was in the Pine Valley Cemetery, Pine Valley, Utah.
