Lowell “Rufus” Tracy, (1944)

TRACY, LOWELL, May 17, 1944 – November 26, 2008

BEAR RIVER CITY – Lowell “Rufus” Tracy left his earthly home November 26, 2008. He was born May 17, 1944 in Tremonton, Utah to Anthon and Verna Tracy. He spent his youth at home in Park Valley, Utah and later moved with his family to Tremonton where he attended Bear River High. During high school he was an avid swimmer and wrestler and member of the band.

He married his one and only love of his life, Ilene Marble in June of 1962. They were blessed with three daughters and one son. They were later sealed for time and all eternity as a family in 1974.

He was very musically gifted and taught himself to play the saxophone, bass guitar and harmonica. He raced dirt bikes in his younger years and loved working on hot rods, and riding his Harley. He also wrote poetry and liked making leather crafts, with and for his kids and grandkids. He had a magnetic personality, and had a joke or a funny comment or story for every situation. He was very giving and liked to share what he had with others. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was very proud of all of his kids. His grandkids were the greatest joy in his life.

He is survived by his wife, Ilene,; daughters Elaine (Alan) Relay, Corinne; Leisa (Kenny) Pugsley, Park Valley; Rhonda (Jess) Ward, Malad, ID; and son Quin (Lisa) Tracy, Corinne; fifteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, LaMar, and two sisters. He will return home to Park Valley.

Graveside services will be held December 1, 2008 at the Park Valley Cemetery, Park Valley, UT.
