
TAYLOR, LOUISA GWYNETH, February 23, 1911 – December 8, 2008
Louisa Gwyneth Taylor passed away December 8, 2008 at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living in the loving arms of her family. Born February 23, 1911 in Blackwood, South Wales G.B. the daughter of Alfred and Priscilla Hodge Matthews. She married Norval George Taylor, December 14, 1927 in Wales and immigrated to the U.S. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt lake Temple. He passed away May 25, 1968. She married Lawrence Holbrook in 1978, he later passed away.
Her interests were quilting, sewing, traveling and working in her garden. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren especially enjoyed hearing stories of her youth in Wales.
She was an active member of the South Ogden 14th and 28th Wards working for many years in the Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society.
She is survived by her son Marlow P. (Elizabeth) Taylor of Bountiful, Utah and Mesa, Arizona, and daughter Noelleen (Jerry) Edmunds, No. Ogden; 16 grandchildren, five step grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 34 great great grandchildren with three due in 2009 and 29 step great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, two sons, George A. Taylor and Norval Clair (Chuck) Taylor, father, mother, four brothers, a sister, a granddaughter, a great granddaughter, a great great grandson, and a daughter-in-law.
Funeral services will be held December 13, 2008 at Leavitt’s Mortuary, Ogden, UT. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
