LORRAINE H. THOMAS

Lorraine H. Thomas passed away at home on October 19, 2000, from cancer. She was 72 years old.

She was born July 5, 1928, at Oxford, Idaho. The fourth child to John Reynal and Rose Ella Johnson Hobson. The Hobsons moved to Malad the spring of 1933. She attended Malad public schools. After graduation she was employed at the Dude Ranch Café as a waitress. There she met her sweetheart and future husband, Clayne H. Thomas. They were married September 28, 1929. They lived in Brigham City, Utah, where a son, Brent, was born. Later living in Ogden, Utah, where she worked at Hill Air Force Base.

They moved to Washington state in 1953. Clayne passed away January 7, 1982.

She adored her family and had special memories of doing things together.

Lorraine loved to garden. She always had a beautiful yard to show for it.

She is survived by her loving son, Brent (Delia) Thomas, Mukilteo, Washington; a beloved daughter, Janice (Kelly) Smith; grandchildren: Thomas Little, April Little, Krystal Tanis, Scott Smith (Debra), Annette Smith, Mountlake Terrace, Washington, Gina (Bryan) Olsen; and great-granddaughter Brianna Olsen, Great Falls, Montana.

Also surviving is her mother; sister, Leah (DeWayne) Madsen, Granite Falls, Washington; a brother, Phil (Eloise), Milwaukie, Oregon; and many special cousins, nephews and nieces and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her father; brothers: Robert, Harvey, and Alton; infant sister, Melba; and niece, Martha Hobson.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Graveside service and interment were held on Tuesday, October 24, 2000, in the Flora Hills Cemetery, Lynnwood, Washington.
