LORIN D. RICHARDS

Lorin Daniel Richards, 84, of Malad, passed away July 15, 2005, at the Oneida Long Term Care Facility in Malad.

Lorin was born October 12, 1921, to Walter Scott and Nellie Jones Richards at Elkhorn, Idaho, where he has lived his whole life.

He married Annalyle Morris on January 29, 1944, in Malad, Idaho.

He was a member of the fairboard, and served in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge. He was a member of the PRCA Rodeo and the American Legion. He enjoyed roping, hunting and inventing things.

He is survived by his wife, one son and three daughtesr: David Lorin and Hayley Richards, Malad, Idaho; Loryne Thomas, Malad, Idaho; Leanne and Harold Carey, Payson, Utah; and Shirlee and Ron Blaisdell, Malad, Idaho. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Erma and Ray Clark, Malad, Idaho; Dorothy and Howard Briggs, Malad, Idaho; and Vera and Joe Morris of Portage, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.

Services were held Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Horsley Funeral Home. Services were under the direction of the Horsley Funeral Homes.
