Loren (Cy) Devell Anderson, 79, passed away Sunday, May 14, in Bountiful, Utah, He was born July 11, 1915, a son of LL. And Elizabeth Barnett Anderson. He graduated from Utah State Agricultural College in the field of education.

Loren married Grace Sorensen on December 24, 1938 and they taught school and later had businesses in Cassia-Minidoka area. He returned to Malad where he lived until 1989. Since that time he has resided in Bountiful.

He is survived by his two sons and their wives: Jay and Laureen Anderson of Bountiful; Gary and Bonnie Anderson of Anchorage, Alaska, eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Verna Richards of Pocatello; three brothers: Joe Anderson of Challis; Devon Anderason of Murtaugh; Ladell Anderson of St. George.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19, at 12 noon in the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
