JONES, LOA J., April 18, 1916 – January 10, 2006

RENO, NEVADA – Loa J. Jones, 89, passed away January 10, 2006 in a Reno hospital. She was born in Malad, Idaho on April 18, 1916. She was raised and educated in Inkom and Pocatello, Idaho.

She married Roy Carlisle Jones in 1933, and they resided in Pocatello until 1961. They moved from Pocatello, Idaho to Reno in 1961.

Loa worked at Kraft Foods in Pocatello earlier, and while in Reno she worked at Washoe Medical Center. She was an instructor in the English as Second Language program and loved helping those she taught.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Carlisle Jones, her sons, Roy Dennis Jones and Kyle Jones, three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her sister, Alice Kay Staley; four grandchildren and two –great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 10 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. A graveside service was scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Mountain View Cemetery, Reno.

Walton Funeral Home, Reno, was in charge of arrangements.
