GRIFFITHS, LIZZETTE MAUDE WILLIAMS

Lizzette Maude Williams Griffiths, 88, Malad, died September 20, 1983 at the Oneida County Hospital. She was born June 29, 1900 in Paris, ID, to Thomas Henry and Lizzette Matlida Bunn Williams. She was reared and educated in Paris, moving to Malad when she was 18 years old.

She married David Morgan Griffiths July 5, 1919 in Salt Lake City, UT. He died May 6, 1928.

She had worked at Evans Co-op Store, was manager of Lucille’s Dress Shop, and had also worked at the Wheel In with her brothers. She was a member of the LDS Church, the Royal Neighbors and the World War I Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Dean Williams Griffiths, Libby, MT; three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Elaine) Madsen and Mrs. David (Carol) Deschamps, both of Malad; Mrs. Ron (Donna) Thomas, Milwaukee, OR; ten grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren a brother Wendell Williams, Malad; a sister, Gladys Williams, Portland, OR.

Mrs. Griffiths was preceded in death by six brothers: Kenneth, Juan, Rolland, Clarence, Lyle and Glen Williams, and one sister, Mrs. Ida Bogue.
