Hugh Morgan Griffiths

GRIFFITHS, HUGH MORGAN, January 22, 1891 – February 1, 1953

Hugh Morgan Griffiths, 63, Malad, died Sunday morning at his home of a heart ailment following a two week illness.

Mr. Griffiths was born January 22, 1891 at Malad, a son of William T. and Elizabeth Morgan Griffiths. He was reared in Malad and educated in Malad schools. He attended the old Brigham Young College at Logan in 1912. He married Eunice John July 14, 1914 in the Manti, UT Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

A lifelong member of the Church, he was a high priest in Malad First Ward.

Funeral services were held February 4, 1953 in the Malad First LD Ward Chapel with Bishp D. Dredge Thomas officiating. At the home, the prayer was given by Henry E. Thomas. At the Church the invocation was given by Dr. O.H. Mabey, Remarks and obituary were by Bishiop D. Dredge Thomas; Song by the Ward Brothers, and a violin solo by Mrs. Spencer Hill. Speakers were C.O. Simpson, Ralph Harding and Wm. H. Rutter. Eldon Corbridge sang a vocal solo and the benediction was by Lawrence Budge.
