DOWNEY Lettie Dean Henderson Barnes 82. Downey died Saturday morning at Pocatello Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 19 1901, in Swan Lake, to Henry Hyrum and Olive Ann Lake Henderson. She received her early education in Swan Lake School.

She helped her father on the farm until she married Warren O. Barnes Nov. 3, 1920, in Pocatello. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple June 15, 1921.

She was active member of the LDS Church and was Relief Society president, counselor, work leader and visiting teacher. Her service covered a total of 32 years. Her hobbies were quilting, crocheting, embroidery and working in her flower garden.

Survivors include her husband, Downey; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Glenys) Anderson, Downey; Mrs. Byron (Myrtle) Groesbeck, Fremont, Calif.; a son, Lamar Barnes, Downey; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son. DeVere 10 sisters; and four brothers.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Downey Ward Chapel. Burial was in Downey City Cemetery.
