LETHA TUBBS NEAL
Letha Frances Tubbs Neal, age 91, died Sunday, April 9, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Orem, Utah.

Letha was born December 8, 1908, in Collinston, Utah, a daughter of William Albert and Mary Katherine Johnson Tubbs.

She grew up in Holbrook, Idaho, and received her schooling there and in Malad, Idaho.

On January 13, 1930, she married Archie Levi Neal in the Salt Lake L.D.S. temple. They raised their family in the Arbon Valley. Arch died May 4, 1974.

She was an active member of the L.D.S. church and had served faithfully in all organizations of the church. She had a special love for the primary organization where she had served for twenty-five years. She was also a member of the War Mothers and the Literary club . Her greatest love was being with her grandchildren and great-grandchilddren.

She is survived by three sons and four daughters: John A. (Mary) Neal, McCamimon, Idaho; Bernon F. (Janice) Neal, Gunnison, Utah; Timothy (Jackie) Neal, Ogden, Utah; Dian (Tom) Chivers, Aurora, Utah; 35 grandchilddren; 85 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and two sisters; Verl Tubbs, Blackfoot, Idaho; Earl (Betty) Tubbs, Malad, Idaho; Orvil (Rosealane) Tubbs, Holbrook, Idaho; Junior (Elona) Tubbs, Rockland, Idaho; Golda Misenhimer, American Falls, Idaho; Hazel (Dell) Hansen, Sugar City, Idaho.

Letha was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, LaMont and Lowell. Two granddaughters, Melinda and Melissa Neal, three sisters and one brother.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 13, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. John 1st L.D.S. Ward Chapel in Malad, Idaho with Bishop Dale F. Tubbs officiating. Funeral Services are under the direction of Myers Mortuary of Layton, Utah. The family suggest in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ward missionary fund in her memory.

The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Ty Smith and his staff for their concern and services to mother during the last few years.
