LESLIE JO MOON

SALT LAKE CITY – Our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Leslie Jo Moon, passed away on October 26, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Moab, Utah on January 4, 1939. She was raised in Denver, Colorado where she met her sweetheart, Franklin D. Moon. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah Temple on January 3, 1958. They spent the next 24 years in North Ogden, Utah where their four children were born.

They subsequently moved to California where they lived in Carlsbad and Oceanside for the next 24 years. Leslie loved the ocean, warm weather and many good friends, however, they returned to Utah seven years ago and currently live in Salt Lake City and St. George.

Leslie was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mom had a great love for people and loved to serve in any way she could. She had a strong testimony of genealogy, missionary work and that families can be together forever.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank; children, Pam (Jeff) Tucker; Renae (Val) Hardcastle; LeAnn (Gordon) Hyer; and David (Miranda) Moon; two sisters; 16 grandchildren; and one great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Yarbrough, her father, Leslie Caldwell, step-father, Frank Welch, and her sister, Mary Jo Bawden.

The family would like to thank Vista Care Hospice for making Mom’s last days more comfortable.

Funeral services will be held October31, 2011 at the Salt Lake Stake Center where the family will greet friends and family prior to the service.

Graveside services will be held Monday at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E. 2850 N., North Ogden.
