EVANS, LEON B.

Leon B. Evans, 54, died July 18, 1958 in a Boise hospital of a heart attack a few hours after he became ill at work.

Mr. Evans was an accountant with the State Health Dept. and would have completed 12 years with the state agency on August 12th.

A bachelor, he was born April 10, 1904 at Malad City, the son of John G. and Sarah Ann Jones Evans. He attended schools in Malad City, Heneger’s Business College in Salt Lake City and Brigham Young University at Provo.

Mr. Evans was employed at clerical work at the Fort Hall Indian Agency, U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Air Service at Gowen Field as a civilian.

In 1928 he filled an LDS mission in the eastern states and was secretary of the mission. He was a stake clerk, secretary of the Mutual Improvement Assn., secretary of the stake aaronic committee and a member of the 208th Quorum of Seventies of the Boise Stake.

Surviving are two brothers, Joshua T. Evans, Idaho Falls, and David D. Evans, Bellflower, CA.

Funeral services for Mr. Evans were conducted at Boise and Malad.
