MALAD, Idaho — Lenard Dale Price, 59, of 181 Bannock, died Monday, July 7, 1980, at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Price was born Aug. 8, 1920, in Malad, a son of Josiah and Beatrice Smith Jones Price.

He was reared and educated in Malad.

As a young man he joined the CCC Camp near Malad and later enlisted in the Marine Corps.

On Jan. 10, 1942, he was married to Dorothy Clark in Malad. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 23, 1950.

He reenlisted in the Marine Corps and served during World War II.

He worked for the Ogden Wasatch District and returned to Malad where he was employed by Oneida County. He worked for Thiokol Corp. for over 16 years until retiring.

He was an elder in the LDS Church and member of the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65.

Surviving are his widow of Malad; two sons and one daughter, Lynn Dale Price, Hyrum, Utah; Mark Clark Price, Malad; Mrs. Sid (Sharon) Showell, Stone, Idaho; seven grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers and three sisters, Earl J. Price, Downey, Idaho; Marion J. Price, Malad; Stanley J. Price, Boise, Idaho; Ronald J. Price, Malad; Mrs. Ross (Pearl) Kelly, Washington, D. C.; Carol Bake, Kaysville; Mrs. George (Shirley) Fry, Ogden.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12 noon in the Malad 2nd Ward Chapel with Bishop Wesley Crowther officiating.

Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9 and Wednesday prior to services. Burial in the Malad City Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded.
