Lemuel Jon Gunter

McCammon…..Lemuel Jon Gunter, 58, passed away on August 22, 2011, at his home of natural causes. He was born April 13, 1953, in Downey, Idaho a son of James H. Jr. and Helen Toler Gunter. As a young boy, the Gunter family moved to Othello, Washington, where Lemuel grew up and attended school. In 1967 the family moved back to Arimo and he graduated from Marsh Valley High School. Following graduation, he attended Idaho State Tech School, where he received training as a business equipment repairman. For several years Lemuel worked in the construction business. He was taught by his father the art of masonry, and Lemuel became a master stonemason. Lemuel enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, and was an accomplished leather craftsman. He is survived by his father; James H. Gunter of Arimo: 8 brothers and 4 sisters: Lonnie (Lettie) Gunter of Arimo; Layne Gunter of Trassville, Alabama: Joel (Vennie) Gunter of Arimo; Jeffrey (Vicki) Gunter of McCammon; Ernie Gunter of McCammon; Mark (Trudy) Gunter of Battle Mountain, NV.: Hal (Beth) Gunter of Salten City, CA.; Samuel Gunter of Spring Creek, NV.;
Sally (Dale) Evans of Arimo; Suzanne (Mike) Block of Everett, WA.; Saralee Galloway of Inkom, ID.; Goldie (David) Bosen of Preston, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen T. Gunter. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 12 noon in the Arimo LDS Ward Chapel, Bishop Randall Morris, officiating. Friends may visit with the Gunter family on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home 570 N. Meadowview Drive in Arimo and on Saturday prior to services at the Arimo church from 10:30-11:30 am. Burial will follow in the Arimo Cemetery.
