DOWNEY- Leland Gill Waldron, 79, of Downey, died Sunday, October 29, 1995, at the Bannock Regional Medical Center, Pocatello.

He was born April 9, 1916, in Samaria, Idaho, a son of Benjamin and Mervel Gill Waldron. He married Florence Eleanor Williamson in 1941, and she died in 1978.

After receiving his schooling as a sheet metal worker, he worked for 40 years in the San Francisco Bay area. He married Sara Lousia Lake Passey Sept. 17, 1994 in the Seattle, Wash., LDS Temple.

They had since resided in Downey. He was a member of the LDS Church, and also the Sheet Metal Workers International Association for more than 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, of Downey; one son, Richard Gill Waldron of Guerneville, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Houston (Laura Denise) Greer of Forth Worth, Texas; four grand children; one brother, George Darold Waldron of St. George, Utah; two sisters, Wanda Presbey of Layton, Utah and Mrs. Daniel (Althea W.) Christensen of Renton, Wash.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 1, at noon in the Downey LDS Ward Chapel, Bishop Lavern Brim officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. To 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Downey City Cemetery. Arrangements are made by the Marsh Valley Funeral Home, Arimo.
