LaVor D. Rose

LaVor D. Rose, 59, of Tremonton, died Monday, December 3, 1984, at his home of heart failure.

He was born May 9, 1925, in Malad, Idaho, a son of Lehi and Violet Hansen Rose.

He was reared and educated in Malad, graduating from Malad High School.

He married Beverly Austin August 7, 1945. They were later divorced. He married Shirley Davis January 1, 1961. They were later divorced.

He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II. He was employed by Fife Construction Company and had owned and operated a private custom swathing business.

He was a member of the Teamster’s Union and Eagles Lodge. He was a member of the Tremonton LDS 2nd Ward.

Surviving are one daughter and five sons: Mrs. James (Julie) Larson, Bountiful; Roger LaVor Rose, Mont D. Rose, Kirk D. Rose, Gregory (Moe) K. Rose, all of Tremonton; Ferrin L. Rose, Brigham City; and 14 grandchildren.

Also surviving are four sisters: Mrs. Joy (Dona) Abbott, Tremonton, Mrs. Donald (Gloy) Linderman, Ogden; Mrs. Maurine Scott, Long Beach, California; and Mrs. Veneta Smith, Soda Springs, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services were Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Tremonton LDS 2nd and 5th Ward Chapel.

Burial was in the Hyrum Cemetery.
