LaVinna “Vinnie” J. Barnes Moore, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 1997 at Bannock Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Vinnie was born Jan. 28, 1915 to Fred L. and Ida Bloxham Barnes in Downey, Idaho. She received her education in Downey.
She married Wallace G. Moore May 15, 1936. They had three children.
Vinnie was a member of the LDS church, and was a homemaker. She often said that her greatest joy in life was spoiling her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and oldest son, Wally Jr. She was the last survivor of her three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Dr. Kathleen Perkins, and one son, Dennis “Dee” (Paula) Moore; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 21, 1 p.m. at the Downard-Hansen Funeral Home, 241 N. Garfield Ave. The family will receive friends at Downard’s Thursday, Feb. 20, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Mountainview Cemetery.
