Laurine Annie Naef Hancock, 26 July 1924

DOWNEY – Laurine Annie Naef Hancock, 78, of Downey, passed away November 12, 2002 at her daughter’s home in Clinton, UT.

She was born July 26, 1924 in Downey, ID to Charles Daniel and Katherine Scheibel Naef.

She married Thomas R. (TR) Hancock on December 7, 1942. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, UT LDS Temple.

She was active in the Downey First Ward. She had been a faithful visiting teacher up until her death. She got her nursing degree at Idaho State University and worked at the following hospitals: Marsh Valley, Bannock and Malad. She was always helping people. She was a great nurse. She had many talents such as cake decorating, making quilts and sewing.

She is survived by her four children, LaNada (Douglas) Cheshire of Layton, UT; Terry (Donnette) Hancock of Ward, AZ; Laretta (Robert) Beesley of Clinton, UT; Laralee (Larry) Ganske of Kennewick, WA. She also has 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Ralph Gail Naef of Salt Lake City, UT and a sister, Florence Campbell of McCammon, ID. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents 11 brothers and sisters, one grandson and one great granddaughter.
