Lauri Sue Evans Hubbard, 17 October 1972

Lauri Sue Evans Hubbard passed away peacefully in her home on June 10, 2002 from an extended cancer related illness.

Lauri was born October 17, 1972 to Kim and Sue Evans. She was the oldest of five children. Lauri attended Malad Elementary and graduated from Malad High School in 1991. In 1992 she married David O. Hubbard of Holbrook, ID and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. In May of 1993, she gave birth to their only child, Zachary David Hubbard.

Lauri was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. She enjoyed her church callings, especially those which involved participation with children. Her nieces and nephews always brought great joy and love into her life.

Lauri enjoyed camping, hiking, swimming, sports, artwork and doing all sorts of crafts. She also enjoyed visiting and bagging with those around her and was well known for her gift of gab. Sstriking up conversations came easy and she was easily befriended by those she met.

Lauri is survived by her husband, David O. Hubbard and child, Zachary. Her parents are Kim and Sue Evans, long time residents of Malad. She has one sister, Kristi (Mike) Richardson, Malad, three brothers, Willie (Charity) Evans, Nampa; Kacey (Kristy) Evans, Malad; and Morgan Evans, also of Malad. Her grandmother, Ruth I. Morgan, is currently living in Roy, UT. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, an aunt, a sister in law and many other relatives.

Funeral services were held June 14, 2002. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
