Arnold Hubbard

HUBBARD, ARNOLD, October 9, 1912 – November 24, 2004

Arnold Hubbard, 92, died November 24, 2004 in Twin Falls, Idaho of natural causes. Born October 9, 1912 in Paradise, Utah, he was the son of William Charles and Elfy Davis Hubbard. He grew up in Southern Idaho, where he owned and operated a successful cattle ranch in the Malad Valley and Holbrook for many years.

Arnold married Myrtle Ellen Anderson South on July 12, 1959, owner of South Floral in Malad. She was the widow of Enoch Russell South with whom she had raised four children: Betty, Duane, Gordon and Kerry, who survive them.

After a period in Malad and Driggs, Idaho, Arnold and Myrtle moved to Fairfield, Idaho where they purchased a ranch on which they raised cattle, horses and wheat. Eventually, they sold the ranch and moved to Twin Falls, where Arnold continued farming there for several years.

Arnold loved the outdoors and nature. He was a kind and loving man to family and friends, always giving and lending a helping hand.

His sister, Fay Nilsson of Salt Lake City, Utah, and numerous nieces and nephews survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Myrtle and brothers Myrle, Lloyd, Clark, Reed, Odell, Oliver, Jesse and LeGrande Hubbard.

Funeral services will be held in the Holbrook LDS Church December 2. Burial will be in the Holbrook Cemetery following the service.
