Laura Lynn Thomas, 19, formerly of Brigham City, died Saturday, March 8, 1997 at Brigham City Community Hospital from an automobile accident.
Laura was born on 11 April 1977 in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Dale and Lynette Parry Thomas.
She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1995 where she had been a member of the National Honor Society. She was also a Peer Tutor working with the handicapped students.
She was a member of the Logan 5th LDS Student Ward, and previously a member of the Brigham City 13th LDS Ward. Laura had served as the Laurel President and had received her Young Womanhood award. She also graduated from Brigham City Seminary with four years.
She had worked at the Yogurt Factory in Brigham City and was currently working at Icon in Logan.
Laura was attending Bridgerland Applied Technology in Medical Technology and had previously attended Utah State University for one year.
Surviving are her parents of Brigham City; four brothers, Robert Dale (Lisa) Thomas of Sugar City, Idaho; Branden Jay Thomas, Gregory Scott (Jessica) Thomas, all of Logan; Steven Lee Thomas of Brigham City; one nephew, Kaleb Robert Thomas of Sugar City, Idaho; grandparents, Maurice and Faye Thomas of Portage, Utah; Tom and Emolou Parry of Malad, Idaho.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, March 12, 1997 at the Brigham City 13th LDS Ward.
Interment was in the Portage Cemetery, Portage, Utah.
