Kipp J. Orton, 25, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Salem, Utah, passed away Thursday, January 26, 1995 at the University of New Mexico Medical Center, from complications due to a motorcycle accident.

Kipp was born January 11, 1970, in Provo, Utah, a son of B.Richard and Janiel Johnson Orton. He married Jocie Lynel Anderson, April 22, 1994 in the Provo LDS Temple.

Kip attended Salem and Spanish Fork Schools. He graduated with high honors in Spanish Fork High School in 1988. He worked with the Buckle-Up for Safety program and was Math Sterling Scholar. He graduated in August 1994 from Brigham Young University.

He was a active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served as a Seminary President and in the Deacons, teachers, and Priest Quorum presidencies. He also served an LDS mission in Chile.

Kipp was active in ROTC at BYU and the Arnold Air Society. He was commissioned into the US Air Force in August as 2nd Lt. And was stationed at Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque as a Research Physicist.

Kipp loved the outdoors and sports. He loved life, the Lord, his wife, his family, and all his friends and relatives. He was a beloved husband, father-to-be, son, brother and friend.

He is survived by his wife, parents, six bothers and nine sisters; Mala and David Simmons, Payson; Kyla and Joe prior, Jared and Rachelle Orton, all of Spanish Fork; Seth and Linda Orton, Audra and Richard Morley, Tyler, Cody, Rikel, Bryon, Alyse, Amber, Korin, JaNae and Delite all of Salem; and Justin serving an LDS mission at the MTC;

Five nephews and a niece; grandparents: Norma Johnson, Spanish Fork; Bryon and Colleen Orton, Salem; W. Heber and Clara Johnson, of Springville.; parents-in-law: Dan and Cherril Anderson of Malad; brothers and sister-in-law: Lt. Col. Steve and Karen Hockett, Elmendorf Air Base, Alaska; Cherrie Anderson, Tooele; David and Patricia Scowell, Stone; Dan and Suzanne Anderson, Sulphur, Louisiana; Darell and Sandra Jensen, Wasilla, Alaska; Lewis Anderson, Idaho Falls; Charles and Lara Anderson of Lehi; 18 nieces and nephews, and a grandniece on the his in-law side.

Services were held Tuesday January 31, 1995, in the Salem, Utah LDS Stake Center. Burial was in the Salem City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to the Asthma Association.
