Funeral Held For Kenneth Hadfield
Services were conducted Saturday at Benson Funeral Home for Kenneth Earl Hadfield, age 55, who died November 28 at Hagerstown, Maryland.
Bishop Carl A. Evans officiated. Family prayer was offered by Khalil Scott; invocation, Max Pilgrim; benediction, Bishop Evans. Speakers were Ralph W. Hadfield, who read the obituary, and Bishop Leo Brown. Vocal numbers included a duet, Leora Brown and Iris Barker, and a solo, Carol Daniels. Prelude and postlude music was played by Mrs. David W. John.
Military rites at Pleasantview Cemetery were conducted by members of American Legion Ernest Jones Post No. 65. Casket bearers were members of the American Legion – David Deschamps, Joe May, Stanley Isaacson, Khalil Scott, Reed Smith and Loren Peck. Flowers were arranged by members of the Samaria LDS Ward Relief Society.
Mr. Hadfield was born May 13, 1911 at Smithfield, Utah, to Joseph Earl and Clio Hawkes Hadfield. He was a member of the LDS Church and a veteran of WWII, having served with the US Navy Seabees.
He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Jim Hadfield, Los Angeles; Darrell Hadfield, American Falls; Mrs. David T. (Mildred) Jenkins, Samaria; Mrs. Ray (Wanda) Voss, Teton.
