KATSUKO T. MANN

WILLARD – Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Katsuko “Sally’ T. Mann, 90, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2012 in Brigham City, Utah.

She was born on May 30, 1922 in Garland, UT, a daughter of Hyakutaro and Asano Kajitani Tanaka. She attended Garland and Honeyville elementary schools and graduate from Box Elder High School.

Sally married Roy T. Oko on March 22, 1948 in Honeyville, UT. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1969. She married Clyde Mann on August 12, 1971 in Willard, UT. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1997.

She had resided in Garland, UT for eleven years, Honeyville, UT for 31 years, Elko, NV for four years, Las Vegas for one year, Malad, ID for eight years and Willard, UT for 35 years.

She was a member of the Honeyville Buddhist Church. Sally was a Pink Lady at Oneida County Hospital, a member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and loved to serve others.

She enjoyed bowling, softball, gardening and her real love was the Utah Jazz.

The family would like to thank Willow Glen Extended Care and Rehab, and Oneida County Hospital for their loving care.

Surviving are four children: Irene (Mark) Alder, Malad, ID; LeRoy T. Oki, Willard, UT; Joanne (Michael) Busenbark, Orem, UT; Ronald Oki, Honeyville, UT; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Russell H. (Mitsi) Tanaka, Ontario, OR; Lilly Kawamura, Pocatello, ID; Namiko (Jim) Ishii, Honeyville, UT; and two sisters-in-law, JoAnne Tanaka and Marjorie Tanaka, both of Honeyville, UT.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two spouses and two brothers, john and Dan Tanaka.

Funeral services will be held September 7, 2012 at Gillies Funeral Chapel, Brigham City, UT. Interment will be in the Honeyville City Cemetery.
