JOSEPH BROWER

Joseph Lloyd Brower, 80 and a longtime Arbon resident, died Friday , May 23, 1986 his home in Pocatello.

He was born Dec. 10, 1905 in Idaho Falls …ah L [?], and Annie E. Albiston Brower. When he was young, the family moved to Hawkins Basin where he attended school. … later attended school in Burley.

He married Hannah Blair Dec. 27, 1924… Pocatello and their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS temple Oct. 1964.

He worked for the Union Pacific railroad for two years and then operated a …m[?] in the Crystal-Arbon area for many years. He and his wife lived in Lava Hot Springs for a few years and then moved to Pocatello in 1957. He also ran cattle on the Mink Creek Range for many years.

He was a member of the LDS Church and served as a counselor in the Arbon Branch presidency. He had been president of the Power County Farm Bureau, served on the Power County Hospital Board and was past president of the Pocatello Cattleman’s Association and a commissioner of the Crystal Road District.

Survivors include his wife of Pocatello; one son, Lloyd Blair Bower of Moreland; three Daughters, Mrs. Ralphs (Berna-Deane) Lusk of Arimo and Arbon, Mrs. Bob (LaRae) Tripp of Pocatello and Jerry Budell of Boise; one brother, Harold Brower of Pocatello; four sisters, LaRue Howell of Pocatello, Laura Wilson of Nampa and Gladys Baker of West Covina, California; 23 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren.

He was precede in death by his parents one brother three sisters and two infant sons.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Pocatello LDS 45th ward chapel with Bishop Randy Smith officiating. Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
