Joseph F. Dudley

Funeral services were held Monday for Joseph F. Dudley, 72 who died at the Oneida Hospital Thursday evening (Abt 26 Mar 1959) following an illness of three weeks.

Bishop Myron P. Sorensen officiated at the services which were held at the Malad Second LDS Ward Chapel.

Blaine Lewis offered the prayer at the home.

Prelude and postlude music was played by Betty Jane Crowther. Prayers were offered by Bishop Howard Neal and Leo Williams. Speakers were John Roderick and Dr. Thos. W. Richards. Musical numbers were a duet, Diane Facer and Ilene Reynolds, accompanied by Arlene Bjorkman; solo, Eldon Corbridge, accompanied by Mrs. Crowther; tribute, Dana Benson.

Raiford Benson dedicated the grave.

Flowers were carried by members of the Second ward Relief Society.
Casket bearers were Joseph D. Jones, George Bush, Glen Price, Pharen Apgood, Rex Jensen and Elmer Lewis.

Burial at the Malad City Cemetery was directed by the Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Dudley was born Oct. 3, 1886, at Cherry Creek, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Dudley, and married Barbara David (Davis) April 30, 1912, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized at the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
Mr. Dudley was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Malad; four sons, Tom and Keith, both of Malad; Maynard, Reno, Nev.; Wayne, Salt Lake City; a brother, Moses Dudley, Malad; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Apgood, Ogden; 16 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
